Save on Flowers for Valentine’s Day
Simply because of high demand, flower prices run into big bucks at Valentine’s Day. I ran across this interesting advice for saving money on Valentine’s Day flowers at Sweet Blossoms Hawaii. Since Valentine’s Day is on a Saturday this year, they suggest picking up flowers on Friday, which could lower the price by as much as $10 at Sweet Blossoms. Another way to save? Instead of getting an arrangement in a vase, choose a bouquet. Most of us have plenty of vases already, anyway.
My favorite idea for cheap Valentine’s Day flowers? Instead of buying cut flowers that will only last a few days, stop buy your local nursery and pick up a potted flower plant – one that will continue to provide blooms long after February 14 has passed.
How do you make Valentine’s Day special without breaking the bank?
