Free M.I.A. Art & Literary Series Event – 2/10

M.I.A. Art & Literary Series is a monthly event that provides a venue for graduate students and faculty at UH-Manoa, as well as the local artistic community, to connect and support each other’s work in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, visual art, music, and performance art.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 7:30 pm, the M.I.A. Art & Literary Series presents readers from BR, OIWA, and TINFISH: Lisa Linn Kanae, Brenda Kwon, Tiare Picard, No‘u Revilla, and Lyz Soto at the Mercury Bar (1154 Fort Street Mall).

This event is free, but donations will be accepted and will go to helping HOPEH, the Haitian Organization Program for Education and Health, an organization dedicated to help the people of Juampas, Haiti, by providing the basic things they need to survive, such as health, education, nutrition, etc. They are helping in the mission to provide assistance to the victims of the recent earthquake in Port-au-Prince.
