On Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 11 am to 4 pm, join Bluegrass Hawai‘i for Pickin’ in the Park at Wahiawa Botanical Garden in Wahiawa. It’s free and open to the public. If you play an unplugged traditional instrument and enjoy acoustic bluegrass, newgrass, mountain, roots, traditional country, Hawaiian, Americana, folk, Western, Celtic, and Irish music, you are welcome to jam along. Listeners, of course, are welcome, too!

Please bring a pot or a plate of your favorite potluck goodie to share with your fellow pickers and grinners. Pupus and desserts are welcome. CDs and other merchandise donated by Mainland bluegrass artists will be raffled throughout the day to benefit Bluegrass Hawai`i.

The gathering will include a swap meet where you can find new homes for your spare/outgrown musical treasures! Swap, sell or barter CDs, books, gear, instruments, and music ephemera with your friends in the Bluegrass Hawai`i community!
