In honor of the birthday of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the Bishop Museum will waive admission for ALL visitors on December 19, 2009. Bernice Pauahi Pākī was born on December 19, 1831. She was the great-granddaughter of King Kamehameha I. Her devoted husband, businessman and philanthropist Charles Reed Bishop, founded the Bishop Museum in her memory.
