First dawn begins December 21, 2009 at 12 pm and wraps up at 12 pm December 22, 2009. First Dawn is a winter solstice celebration bringing together spirituality, festivity, art and music. Over 30 artists, musicians, and healers gather at Camp Malaekahana to create art, share music, and hold sacred space.

Expect to see art installations, hear Reggae, drums and psycadelic music, and feel a connection to the land and community. Participation through dance and creativity is welcome. First Dawn is Oahu’s Winter Solstice Celebration, the end of the longest night and the beginning of the sun’s blessing of light.
