Join the folks from Hawai‘i Nature Center on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 1 to 4 pm as they climb up Maunalaha Ridge, cross several streams at the back of the valley, and stroll downhill along Kanealole Stream. Learn why Makiki Valley has some of the most varied tropical plant life in the Islands and see evidence of ancient Hawaiian settlements. This is a moderate hike: 2.5 miles/3 hours and suitable for those ages 10 and up.
