O-Bon Dances on Oahu
During the summer months Japanese residents welcome back the spirits of departed loved ones at lively and festive dance events called o-bon. Throughout the summer, dances are held at various venues around the island of O‘ahu, and o-bon season is in full swing! For a complete schedule of dates, times and places, visit The Hawai‘i Herald.
UPDATE: We gave you the events overview a couple of weeks ago, but what about the food? Oh, yes. There will be food. Check out Good Eats at Bon Dance from Share Your Table to learn more about some of the festivals’ specialties.
