Jennifer Perri is no stranger to the spotlight. The winner of Hawai‘i’s top children’s talent contest at the age of 13, she became the co-host of the local hit television show, “OKC TV.” Off-camera, she released her self-titled mini-album in 2001, and recorded with ‘ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro on his Gently Weeps album and was featured in the Japanese movie, Hula Girl.

Jennifer’s most recent project took her back to the recording studio, this time with Herb Ohta, Jr. and Lele Music Productions. He Mele Aloha features Jennifer covering traditional Hawaiian songs like Pua ‘Olena and Ku‘u Momi Makamae, along with a selection of original tunes and others you may recognize. She’s accompanied by Herb Ohta, Jr. on her powerful rendition of Here Comes the Sun.
