EHCC has begun the process of creating a documentary about our organization, the facility and so forth...in your researching, Leslie, have you ever come across any detailed informational sources having to do with Kalakaua's landholdings/uses at his summer home, which is just across Kinoole St., from our campus here at 142 Kalakaua? Any info and/or leads would be most appreciated, as we are beginning to dig into the Hawaiian/Kalakaua's connections to the land that this historic building sits upon...much mahalos for all you have done and are doing to bring Hilo's historic past and unique present and future to public attention! aloha, jf

This book looks very interesting. I would love to see pics of old Hilo before the devastating tsunami of 1946.
